Main Land Mass: Old World

Old World is an isolated region with a hulking Metagate in its center. Old World’s land and occupants are survivors of worlds consumed and forgotten. As more worlds bleed into the universe, survivors can sacrifice elements and memories of that world to the gate. Once complete, the zones link to the gate, and the landmass connects to the starting continent. The world map is ever-growing, and five regions can be anchored at the game’s launch.

The inner ring of the game map is known as Old World, and Old World is protected by a field produced from the spiral of the Metagate. Inside this field, life has settled, and peace has given rise to civilization and communities of survivors. The gate pulls worlds apart from across the cosmos; outside of the energy field, worlds bleed over while being consumed.

The Feed

Inside the Old World City is considered the NPC city. The inner green ring is consensual PVP and is generally a safe zone for player-to-player interactions. The purple region is wild and is open PVP.

Region opening and map expansion

At the launch of Metagates, players can venture out of the inner circle and experience different worlds. These worlds will all have representation in regions surrounding the Old World safe zone. The resources collected and looted from these regions will resemble their home universe.

Players can craft, horde, and sacrifice these items to the Metagate. A threshold of sacrifice from an area needs to be accumulated, and enough gold gets offered alongside it, allowing the landmass of that region to unlock as more of that world is pulled into the Singularity Cauldron.

An example is pictured in the world map above. In the picture, Trinsic and the Singularity Cauldron have enough resources sacrificed into the gate for their landmass added to the world. This expansion is player driven and unlocks vast amounts of content and area for housing placement. With the map stretching further and further from the Old World, the challenges and monsters in the world will grow more fierce.
